Department Description
WMG's Business Development team serves as WMG's primary point of contact for incoming business development inquiries, including but not limited to artist, publishing, and distribution deals, label and catalog acquisitions, joint ventures and prospective partnerships. Some of the group's main responsibilities include:
- Evaluating transactional opportunities by helping to identify potential acquisition candidates and managing the overall M&A process Detailed Job Description
The Sr. Manager plays an integral role in each of these areas, with a focus on analysis and corporate strategy. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of investment banking or consulting experience. PE and/or media background preferred, but not required.
Position Responsibilities: - Conduct a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analysis in support of strategic initiatives and deal negotiations Skills Required
- Superior financial modeling skills
- Superior presentation skills - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment - Strong understanding of major new media platforms and media business initiatives Special Requirements/Preferences
- At least 2 years at a global investment bank or top-tier management consultancy; PE and/or media industry experience preferred, but not required
- MBA preferred, but not required |
