Job Title: Royalty Analyst

Job Description: Universal Music Group is currently seeking a Royalty Analyst for the Universal City, CA location.

• Work with management in providing royalty accounting assistance with TV advertising campaigns and other areas in International royalties as assigned
• Process, analyze and review TV claims to calculate Artist royalty breaks
• Review and interpret Artist contracts and royalty statements
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial close
• Accurately maintain file systems, logs and databases
• Prepare support documentation for third party licensees and other inquiries.
Job Requirements: • 4-year college degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or minimum 14 units of Accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access
• 10-Key by touch
• 2-3 years work experience (preferably in royalty/participations)
• Familiarity with Budgets, Invoices, Purchase Orders, Air Time
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Overtime as required.
