Financial Controller - Music Publisher (LA)

Financial Controller Position Available

We are looking for an experienced full-time financial controller with experience in music publishing and/or the recording industry.

Job responsibilities will include:

  Manage all accounting operations

 Reconcile all accounts monthly


  Coordinate payroll with payroll company

  Various HR duties

  Coordinating Health Insurance and 401k plans

  Work with the Royalty Dept. for accounting to songwriters and artists


Requirements include:


  Formal accounting education

  Thorough knowledge of GAAP

  A working knowledge of Quickbooks Online

  Significant attention to detail and accuracy

  Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  A great attitude and a desire to be part of a team that loves what they do!



Position Music was started in 1999 and offers a great, casual, non-corporate work environment with a current staff of fourteen. The company is an independent music publisher and record label with a heavy emphasis on synchronization in Film/TV, Trailers, Video Games and Advertising.  The company is located in Burbank, CA.
