Licensing Coordinator (LA)

Concord Music is looking to hire a Full-Time Licensing Coordinator to our Beverly Hills Office:

 Job Description:

        To draft all U.S. mechanical direct licenses for all catalogs, including approving online requests via the Harry Fox Agency website.

        Reviews controlled composition clauses from an artist’s recording agreements to confirm accuracy of license requests.

        Reviews and evaluates reduced rate requests with management.

        Will review past releases inherited from catalog acquisitions to determine mechanical license and payment status, track and collect royalties

        Coordinates with the Copyright department to confirm claims to songs so that disputes and/or discrepancies in claims can be resolved for licensing.

        Can conduct research of data from various sources to determine if there have been improper payments in Mechanical and New Media revenue.

        Will upkeep quarterly Mechanical Release Report

        Follow-up, license and track all mechanical licenses/income related to sample license agreements.

        Primary duties will focus on mechanical licenses and new media licensing/tracking


Special Requirements/Preferences:

        One (1) year of responsible administrative experience, preferably to have been obtained within a music publishing  company


Education/Experience Required:

        A high school level education is required. A baccalaureate degree is preferred, augmented by course work in music business or related field.

        A satisfactory equivalent of education, training and experience in related fields and/or educational disciplines, sufficient to qualify for the requirements of position.
