Various types of agreements as well as related topics are analyzed and discussed, including recording (major and independent record deals which also include new types of deals); distribution, management, producer, and publishing agreements; production, demo and song deals; mechanical licenses; songwriter split agreements; and agreements relating to music exploited in film, television, video games, Internet and mobile applications. The course analyzes and discusses the U.S. Copyright Act as well as various copyright issues, including issues pertaining to deal making.
