Copyright Alliance Statement on USCO IT Modernization Plan

 February 29, 2016 – Washington DC — In response to today’s “Provisional Information Technology Modernization Plan and Cost Analysis” issued by the United States Copyright Office, Copyright Alliance CEO Keith Kupferschmid responded by saying that “We commend the Office for issuing the IT report and for doing so more than three months ahead schedule.  It is of paramount importance that the Copyright Office has an advanced technology platform that supports the needs of its users.  Modernizing the Copyright Office’s IT system is a tremendous undertaking that will require a comprehensive change to the Copyright Office’s IT infrastructure; incremental changes will not be enough to successfully modernize the Office.” Read more here.
