August 4, 2017

Washington, D.C. – Today, Copyright Alliance CEO Keith Kupferschmid issued the following statement regarding the Senate’s approval of Vishal J. Amin, President Trump’s nominee for White House Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC):

“The Copyright Alliance congratulates Vishal Amin on his confirmation as the next U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator in the Executive Office of the President.

With copyright protections essential to creating new jobs and promoting economic growth, the IPEC position was established to oversee a well-coordinated approach to copyright enforcement.

We look forward to working collaboratively with Mr. Amin as he undertakes his new role, to help promote and protect our nation’s creators and copyrighted works.”
