Dec 31 Is The Deadline to Claim Pre-1972 Sound Recordings in SiriusXM Settlement

December 6, 2017

Sunday, December 31 is the deadline for settlement class members – from the settlement entered into in Flo & Eddie v. SiriusXM Radio, requiring SiriusXM to pay a minimum of $25 million to members of the settlement class – to claim ownership of their pre-1972 sound recordings. “You qualify as a member of the Settlement Class if you own a pre-1972 recording(s) that was performed, distributed, reproduced, or otherwise exploited by SiriusXM in the United States without a license or authorization to do so during the period of August 1, 2009 through November 14, 2016.” More information is available here and here.
