Mechanical Licensing and Sampling

Music Publishing is still sometimes referred to as a "penny business." The work of negotiating and licensing those pennies boils down to the inner workings of mechanical licensing and the issues that surround it. The proliferation of sample usages and their affect on mechanicals is an often misunderstood and complicated matter. We've assembled a panel of professions who do this work everyday. We will talk about many of these issues to unravel some of the mysteries of this process.

Building security requires that your name be on our guest list. Register using the link at the bottom of this page by February 13th.

This is the second part of our program on licensing issues. Our final session on synchronization rights will be held on March 15th.
