Canadian Download Decision, with David Basskin (New York)

Around the world, music publishers and songwriters face a common challenge in the licensing of their music for online sale. Who will license songs for this purpose? Who will pay? How much? There are more questions than answers today, but the Copyright Board of Canada has just addressed these issues in that country by certifying a tariff of rates and terms proposed by CMRRA-SODRAC Inc. (CSI) for download and subscription services. David Basskin, President of CSI and CMRRA, will bring us up to date on the Copyright Board's landmark decision and its impact on AIMP members whose songs are being used in Canada
