Gary L. Churgin was appointed the President and CEO of the Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA) in January 2001. His main focus has been to transition the 80-year-old company to take advantage of new technologies and business practices to provide the best quality music licensing services to its affiliate publishers and music distribution clients in the changing music marketplace. Since Churgin joined the company, HFA has expanded its offerings, adding licensing for online subscription services, lyrics, ringtones, digital background music, Express Live, and more to its primary business of mechanical licensing. HFA’s critical role in the digital music arena was recognized by the music industry trade magazine Billboard in their 2006 “Digital Music Power Players” list – HFA was the only publishing-related entity to be included. Over the past several years, through a collaborative effort with publishers and licensees, HFA has transformed its technology systems and business processes, adding new online applications for publishers and licensees through a new registered user area of www.harryfox.com. Along with his senior management team, Churgin has led the drive to create organic, ground-up change in the organization, making it more client-focused, improving the interaction and communication with HFA’s almost 35,000 publishers and tens of thousands of licensees, to better accommodate the needs of everyone from small, home-based businesses to multi-national corporations.

Ronald Gertz is an internationally recognized authority in copyright law and music licensing, specializing in private and governmental regulation and royalty administration. Under Mr. Gertz’s leadership, Music Reports has grown to become the entertainment industry’s leading music rights administration service at the forefront of solutions to issues presented by the development of digital transmission technologies. Mr. Gertz oversees all strategic planning efforts for Music Reports’ New Media clients. In doing so, he counsels clients on emerging new media licensing issues such as on demand streaming and downloading through wired and wireless networks, digital broadcasting and distribution. Mr. Gertz champions relationships with all music industry stakeholders, including artists, managers, composers, publishers, performing rights societies and record labels. As Chairman, Mr. Gertz is Music Reports’ lead strategist in regulatory proceedings and legislative initiatives to preserve competition in collection and distribution of royalties for digital distribution of intellectual property. Mr. Gertz has participated in groundbreaking rate setting proceedings under the ASCAP and BMI consent decrees, before the Copyright Royalty Board, and rulemaking proceedings before the Register of Copyrights. Mr. Gertz is a frequent speaker and lecturer on copyright related issues in new media and is a former chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and past president of the California Copyright Conference. He has been a director of the Broadcast Cable Financial Managers Association (BCFM) and the National Academy of Songwriters and a member of the Interactive Multimedia Association's Intellectual Property Task Force. Trained as a classical vocalist and guitarist, Mr. Gertz has performed professionally and is a member of ASCAP and The Society of Composers and Lyricists.

Mr. Sullivan is a founding member and President and CEO of RightsFlow, a Mechanical Licensing & Royalty Solutions provider to labels, distributors and music services. Patrick is also a member of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) Publishing Committee. He helps the organization with issues dealing with publishing. A2IM represents a broad coalition of music labels to promote sector opportunity and enhance the market share of its combined membership. Separately, Mr. Sullivan holds a seat at the Board of Directors at World Hunger Year (WHY). Over the past several years, he served as a dual Vice-President of Licensing and Music Services for both The Orchard & eMusic. Prior to The Orchard, he was a Strategic Licensing Consultant for Selverne, Mandelbaum, & Mintz; a New York based Entertainment Law Firm.

Les Watkins is Senior Vice President of Business Affairs & Business Development at Music Reports, where he is responsible for cultivating client relationships and guiding the strategic direction of the business. He manages the company’s licensing and accounting projects for digital and mobile music services, and he serves as the company’s primary liason with the record label and music publishing communities. Les is a music industry lawyer specializing in digital music licensing and payment models. For many years, he served in the Business Affairs and Law Departments of Sony Music Entertainment, in New York and Los Angeles, where he focused on SME’s new media initiatives. He has also spent time in private practice, including a stint with the preeminent artist law firm of King Holmes Paterno & Berliner. Les is a frequent panelist at music industry conferences and law schools. He has published articles in legal and music industry trade journals, and he has testified before the U.S. Copyright Office on the need for music licensing reform. He graduated from the University Of Georgia School Of Law and is a member of the State Bars of Georgia and New York.
