Panelist's Bios:

Jason Boyarski

Jason has a broad array of experience in the entertainment, media and marketing industries, with posts at some of the biggest names in the industry, including Warner Music Group, NBC, BMG Music, Sony Music, Weil Gotshal & Manges, LLC and Universal Music.  Jason is currently involved in a broad array of ventures in the music, entertainment and media industries.  He is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the integrated marketing agency HeadOverHeels Collective, which provides marketing services (both traditional and social media activated) to companies in the entertainment, fashion, retail, media and consumer goods industries with a roster of clients and strategic partners including A&E Networks, Movado, Estee Lauder, Denon Electronics, Morantz, X-Rite, Pantone, Calvin Klein, FAO Schwarz, and more. Additionally, Jason is the owner of a business consulting and legal services business where he represents several music and media companies, recording artists and producers.
Joel Goodman
Joel Goodman is an active composer and the founder and President of MusicBox, a music production and music publishing company.  Acclaimed by The Hollywood Reporter as an “Indie Composer to Watch,” Joel has scored over 75 feature length documentaries and feature films that have gone on to win 1 Academy Award, 4 Academy Award Nominations, 12 Emmy Awards, and over 20 Emmy Nominations.
Tom Hedden
For nearly twenty years, Tom Hedden served as Music Director and Composer for NFL Films.  During this period he penned nearly five hundred compositions and was rewarded with five Emmy Awards.  A graduate of Berklee, Hedden began his career in New York as an engineer and eventually a composer and producer.  Since departing the NFL, Hedden has continued to compose and consult.
Miranda Patterson
Miranda Patterson has been with NBC since it was owned by RCA.  She is now a senior supervising producer /writer.  If you ask, she'll tell you promo stories that start at Miss America, pause at Dateline and have Alf, the Olympics and the Republican National Convention in between.  She loves music so much that she married a drummer.
Joe Saba
Joe Saba is the co-founder of VideoHelper, Inc., one of the leading independent music libraries.  He's an active composer both for his company's catalog and for projects such as the themes for “ABC News Nightline”, “The Suze Orman Show”, “The Soup” and many others.  He and Stewart Winter launched the company in 1995 from a bootlegger’s warehouse and today VideoHelper’s music is used daily in over 60 countries.  Joe is a multi-instrumentalist, a Columbia grad and a founding member of the PMA.
Chris Woods
Chris Woods is accomplished composer, musician, producer and engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the music business and sound processing technologies.  A graduate of the Berklee School of Music, he's created music branding packages for numerous television networks, including Fox Sports, Versus and Big Ten.  Since co-founding TuneSat in 2007, Woods has been instrumental in building the company's technological portfolio, including the surveying, acquisition and development of audio fingerprinting algorithms.  His personal knowledge of practical music royalty collection issues gives him unique insight into how and why the system for monitoring, reporting and collection of music on television, radio and the Internet needs to change.
