Additional Speaker Information

Brad Aarons - After more than ten years of experience on the label, management and publisher side of the business; Brad has brought these diverse skill sets & ears to his daily routine of discovering, signing and promoting artists, producers and songwriters at Warner/Chappell Music. In the three years since coming to the company (he was formally the GM of Liberal Arts Music – a JV publishing company with EMI/ owned by David Massey {President of Mercury Records}, Brad has helped launch the careers of Kevin Rudolf, elevate the accomplishments of writers such as Dave Bassett, worked alongside some of the most successful writers in the world, like Claude Kelly - and constantly is developing the next up and comers such as Ross Golan, Christian Rich & Leo Z. This has resulted in his career with song placements on albums that have collectively sold in excess of 50mm worldwide, logging dozens of cross-genre Top 10 hits – that also include cuts that have collectively sold over 35mm downloads worldwide. Brad’s ability to cultivate relationships with his writers and work with his extended global team of colleagues both in and out of the WMG family has also led to multiple international hits in the UK/ Europe & Japan. Brad also works to make sure the songs he has helped cultivate find the best possible outlet; from placing a young band like Parachute with superstars Lady Antebellum (resulting in the band’s 2nd single that was Top 15 @ radio), taking an R&B song, flipping it to a Country record with the help of WCMs Nashville team resulting in the winning song of American Idol Season 10 (‘I Love You This Big’ -performed by winner Scotty McCreery); having the winning song ‘Stitch by Stitch’ (performed by winner Javier Colon) on Season One of NBCs ‘The Voice’; he embodies the forward thinking knowledge in the new creative publishing landscape.
