What’s New In The Music Industry: Copyright Terminations, Litigation, Ethical Considerations and New Business Models

Entertainment Law Section

What’s New In The Music Industry:
Copyright Terminations, Litigation, Ethical Considerations
and New Business Models

It's a new world in the music business, and this program is essential for entertainment lawyers and artist managers. The program will focus on the current state of the recording industry, along with the opportunities and challenges presented by its changing landscape. Music business attorneys need to be particularly careful with regard to ethical issues, as quickly changing media and business models, impending copyright terminations,
multi-party representations, and the practice of working on commission have all made the representation of artists and songwriters increasingly specialized and complicated. Get your ethics credits as our expert panelists review what you must know to competently and ethically represent music clients, where they see the industry going, and how to implement "best practices" in your law office.
