Congressman Doug Collins Returns to Discuss COPYRIGHT LAW UPDATE

From IPAC - We have just received confirmation that Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA), the author of the Songwriter Equity Act of 2014, will be back in Nashville this coming Monday, October 6th. IPAC (Interested Parties Advancing Copyright), and Belmont University, are sponsoring an event for him to speak on the current copyright review and latest happenings in DC that impact songwriters and publishers. The event will be at 4:00PM, at Belmont (Studio A), this coming Monday (Oct. 6th). 

You are invited. Please spread the word, and let’s fill the room to show Mr. Collins, and possibly other political figures, that this process is important to Nashville’s music community.

Copyright Law Update for Songwriters and Publishers

IPAC (Interested Parties Advancing Copyright) and Belmont University (Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business) invite you to an event to hear Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA), author of the Songwriter Equity Act of 2014, present updates of the U.S. Copyright Law Review and other legislative actions impacting songwriters and publishers, including Q&A time. Mr. Collins is a member of the U.S. House Judiciary Sub-committee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and The Internet. The Nashville music community has become a significant voice in the current copyright review process. This is an important opportunity to show your support and have your voice heard. The event will also include special guests, including a short showcase by well-known and new songwriters. 

When: Monday, October 6, 2014 - 4:00 P.M.

Where: Belmont University’s Columbia Studio A, 34 Music Square East. Parking is available in the lot behind (off of Music Cir. S) 34 Music Square East.  You may enter Columbia Studio A from the back of the building.
