NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions with Grey Group's Zach Pollakoff

Thursday, January 15, 2015 in New York

OVER 200 PLACEMENTS FROM NARIP MUSIC SUPERVISOR SESSIONS

Our small format works! NARIP Session participants have placed over 200 tracks as a direct result of NARIP Sessions.

DON'T GET LOST IN THE CROWD : SMALL IS THE NEW BIG

NARIP Sessions are deliberately kept small and intimate, which is just one reason they work so well and why participants have enjoyed over 200 placements to date. We limit enrollment to just 16 people per session, this guarantees that registrants meet and get face-time with our guest. Registrants also get a brief of the guest supervisor’s CURRENT music needs, a chance to pitch plus immediate feedback at each session, taking the mystery out of why a piece of music does or doesn't fit. On-the-spot feedback enables registrants to re-work tracks and get them licensed.

Placements secured and professional relationships formed through NARIPs music supervisor sessions have earned praise and many placements! See TESTIMONIALS and PLACEMENTS sections below.

ABOUT ZACH POLLAKOFF

Zachary Pollakoff is VP and Senior Music Producer at GREY, famously effective since 1917. Born in Chicago and raised in the 'burbs, Zach was a music person from early on. Though an avid live music fan and in bands throughout Junior High and High School, it was in college at Indiana University when it really became his life. As a DJ–and later the General Manager–at student station, WIUX, he learned about more about music than ever before. He helped the station make the move to FM and then fought alongside state legislators to keep them there. After a stint of LPFM advocacy, Pollakoff moved to Brooklyn to work for indie giant, Beggars Group/Matador Records as a radio and video promoter. From Beggars, Pollakoff proudly founded Twosyllable Records, a finely curated collection of some of his favorite young artists. Later that year, while working on supervising a film–and founding his band, Eastern Midwestern – Pollakoff was introduced to the advertising industry. He spent a few years working at music and film production companies with some amazingly talented people before landing at Grey Group in 2010. At Grey, Pollakoff has worked closely on Cannes-Lion-winning work for DirecTV, E*Trade and the NFL; in 2013 won a National Emmy for his work on original music for Canon "Inspired"; and this year, a Titanium Lion for Unload Your 401k.
