KERRY O'NEIL: In 1998, Kerry co-founded Big Yellow Dog Music with Carla Wallace. Since its inception, Big Yellow Dog Music has achieved over twenty (20) #1 singles released by such diverse artists as Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood and George Strait to Demi Lovato and Meghan Trainor. Big Yellow Dog Music received the 2006 BMI Country Song of the year (As Good As I Once Was) and the ASCAP Country Song of the Year in both 2007 (Before He Cheats) and 2011 (Need You Now). Big Yellow Dog’s songs have received Grammys for Country Song of the Year in 2007 (Before He Cheats), 2011 (Need you Now) and 2013 (Blown Away). Also in 2011, Need You Now received a Grammy for overall Song of the Year. Key writers include Josh Kear, Meghan Trainor and Shawn Camp. Kerry O'Neil is also a founding Member of the entertainment consulting and business firm of O'Neil Hagaman, PLLC. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, this 50 plus person practice is focused solely on the entertainment industry and represents many significant artists, producers, independent publishers, writers, and executives. Kerry specializes in strategic planning and negotiating for artists and entrepreneurs. Previously in 1987, Kerry founded, along with Woody Bomar, Little Big Town Music, an independent music publishing company. This company achieved seventeen (17) number one songs and over thirty (30) top-ten songs before being sold to Sony/ATV Music-Nashville in 1998. Kerry also co-founded Warner Western Records, a joint venture with Warner Bros-Nashville, which produced Native American music, western music and cowboy poetry. He has also been a pop producer agent (Barry Beckett producer of Bob Seger, the Waterboys, Phish, etc.) and an artist manager (John Anderson, Mark Germino). Kerry has served as a board member for several entertainment community organizations including the founding board for the W.O. Smith Community School of Music (which provides free music instruction and instruments to deserving children), the Nashville Songwriters Association and is the past Chair of the board of WPLN (Nashville’s NPR affiliate). Educational Background: Kerry received his B.B.A. from George Washington University and his M.B.A. from Babson College. He is also a CPA and a CFP.

CARLA WALLACE: Carla Wallace is the co-owner of Nashville based, indie publishing company, Big Yellow Dog Music. A Nashville native and Belmont University graduate, she has worked in the publishing industry for over 17 years. Carla got her start by pitching songs for two major independent publishing houses; Bluewater Music and Little Big Town Music. In 1998, she partnered with Kerry O’Neil to form Big Yellow Dog Music. That relationship has lasted over 16 years and garnered four GRAMMY’s and 22 number one songs. Included in that success is the chart topping, and most downloaded country song of all time; Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now”. The track was awarded “Song of the Year” and “Country Song of the Year” at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Also included in that success is the pop smash “All About That Bass”, written and performed by Big Yellow Dog Music writer and Epic recording artist Meghan Trainor. Carla has also worked with Vanguard Recording Artist Mindy Smith, NRBQ’s Al Anderson, Pat McLaughlin, Shawn Camp, John Scott Sherrill, Karyn Rochelle, Josh Kear, Daniel Tashian and Logan Mize. Big Yellow Dog Music has received honors such as BMI 2006 Song Of The Year, ASCAP’s 2007 & 2010 Song Of The Year, 2010 ACM Song Of The Year, 2011 ASCAP Global Impact Award and 2013 ASCAP Songwriter Of The Year (Josh Kear). Carla was also recently voted one of Billboard’s Top Women In Music.
