Host and modrator Teri Nelson Carpenter is a music industry veteran. Her executive experience includes a background in performing rights management and overseeing major studio and network television music departments. Ms. Carpenters experience in protecting and monetizing music copyrights is well known and has earned her the highest level of respect from composers and publishers worldwide Ms. Carpenter is currently the President & CEO of Reel Muzik Werks, LLC. A Full Service Music Rights Management Company that specializes in Global Writer/Publisher Administration, Licensing & Clearance and Music Supervision for all Media. As the executive in charge of network television music at Fox Family Worldwide/Saban Entertainment, Ms. Carpenter was responsible for overseeing the Fox Family/Saban's global music business. Prior to that Ms. Carpenter served as a Music Administration & Production Executive at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM Studios). Before that she was the Director of Music at Academy Award Winning Indie Company, Hemdale Film Corp. Ms. Carpenter began her career at Broadcast Music Inc. in Film/TV relations. She spent much of her time at BMI working directly with composers and publishers providing assistance with their global performing rights concerns. Ms. Carpenter holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance & Composition from Cal State Long Beach where she graduated with honors. Her post graduate studies at UCLA were in International Business and currently she is a guest lecturer in the music department at UCLA. Ms. Carpenter is a recent two-term President of the California Copyright Conference and Finance Chair of the Board of Directors of the Copyright Alliance in Washington, D.C.. Currently, Ms. Carpenter serves as the Vice President for the Association of Independent Music Publishers.

Todd Brabec, former ASCAP Executive Vice President and Worldwide Director of Membership, is an Entertainment Law attorney, a Deems Taylor Award winning co-author of the best selling music business book " Music, Money and Success: the Insider's Guide to Making Money in the Music Business"(7th edition, 560 pages/Schirmer/Music Sales), an Adjunct Professor at USC where he teaches the course on Music Licensing, Music Publishing and Film, Television and Video Game scoring and song contracts and is a Governing Committee member and former Music and Budget Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries. He is a recipient of the 2005 Educational Leadership Award from the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA)and the 2015 Texas Star Award from the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Texas for Outstanding Contribution and Achievement in the Field of Entertainment Law. During his 37 year career at ASCAP, he was responsible for signing many of ASCAP 's most successful songwriters, songwriter/artists and film and television composers. In addition, he significantly changed most of ASCAP's distribution, payment and survey rules and was responsible for significantly increasing the royalties and payment formulas for successful radio writers and film and television score and theme composers as well as eliminating most policies, formulas and rules which were not in the best interests of songwriters and composers or which had a negative effect on their earnings. Michael Crepezzi is Executive Director, Distribution & Administration Services (formerly known as Performing Rights Research) at BMI and is based in Los Angeles. In his role, he works closely with the Operations and Information Technology departments and is an integral part of the team responsible for the ongoing development of royalty payment policies and procedures with regards to the use of music in audio-visual productions performed on the Internet and in other new media outlets. Crepezzi also continues to execute his responsibilities regarding BMI’s music use reporting and television performance related initiatives. In addition, he maintains and develops relationships within the music publishing, composer and music production communities by answering inquiries and educating key constituents on BMI policies and procedures on a daily basis. Crepezzi joined BMI in 1993 as Associate Director, Performing Rights. Since joining BMI, he has continued to elevate throughout the company receiving several promotions including his current title as Executive Director. Prior to joining BMI, he was Royalty and Accounting Manager at both Disney Music Publishing and Capitol Records’ publishing divisions, Screen Gems/Colgems Music. Crepezzi attended California State University, Northridge where he studied Business Administration. Michael served as an active board member for the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) for 14 consecutive years from 2000-2014. During his term, Michael held various officer positions including AIMP Vice President, Executive Director and Secretary. In addition, Crepezzi played a critical role in the establishment of the AIMP Nashville Chapter, as well as the formation of the recent Linda Liker Komorsky Scholarship.

Michael Eames is a trained composer, songwriter and pianist with experience in film scoring who studied music at Cornell University and UCLA Extension; Michael also secured a minor in Business Management from Cornell. As President of PEN Music Group, Michael oversees all aspects of the operation as well as focuses on pitching the catalogue to all media and business development. Prior to starting PEN, Michael oversaw the international activities and film & television department of Don Williams Music Group where he was responsible for song catalogues such as Jimi Hendrix, Chicago and Roy Orbison among numerous others. He also worked previously for Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and the management and music supervision firms The Derek Power Co and Seth Kaplan Entertainment.

An experienced deal negotiator and a seasoned advisor of intellectual property rights, Erin M. Jacobson is a practicing attorney who protects musicians, songwriters, and a wide variety of other entertainment professionals. She is a graduate of Southwestern Law School and of the University of Southern California. Leticia Maldonado is the Executive Director of Licensing & Special Projects at Reel Muzik Werks. Her 22 years in the music business has given her the opportunity to take her experience, knowledge and understanding into many areas of the business to further her career in specializing in vast areas of publishing including negotiations of artist and management for an independent Latin label. Leticia is responsible for overseeing the licensing operations and special projects at RMW, which include the negotiation and drafting of agreements for Sync, Grand Rights, Sampling and Mechanical licensing as well as resolving counter copyright claims to name a few. Before coming to work at RMW, Leticia worked for many years at Peermusic where her hands on experience allowed her to grow into multiple areas of music publishing, as Manager of Music Publishing / Licensing & Special Projects TV/Film at Peermusic, her responsibilities included negotiation of Sync, Merchandising and New Media. Leticia also worked at an independent Latin label administered through Sony Latin, where she oversaw the administration of publishing, artist and management contracts and the day to day operations. Leticia began her career working in the music department at Saban Entertainment / Fox Family Worldwide as assistant to the Senior Vice President, Music Administration where her motivation and interest in the business allowed her growth within in the department as Manager, Copyright and Music Administration.

Samantha Schilling Robinson earned one of her degrees in International Business and Commerce from UCLA School of Business. She exercises her international expertise as the Director of Creative and Business development at Reel Muzik Werks, a full rights management company with a strong international reach. Samantha is an experienced and motivated professional with years of strong industry experience - five of them specifically in international Ad/Film/TV licensing with special focus on creative pitching, clearance, negotiation and execution. Previously from Reel Muzik Werks, Samantha worked as a music consultant and synch agent for clients around the world.

Kim Topper is the vocalist and lyricist in electronic indie band PHAYON. The band was born of a chance meeting in a pub in the Northern most part of Ireland, where LA based Topper met London based multi-instrumentalist, and producer Niall Kearney. Their music has been featured on BBC Ireland’s Electric Mainline, Across the Line and Soundscapes programs. Kim shared a few PHAYON tunes with friend and Snow Patrol front man Gary Lightbody. His response was “your voice is otherworldly” and subsequently asked her to lend it to his side project, super group Tired Pony’s latest record, The Ghost of the Mountain. In addition to Lightbody, Tired Pony members include Peter Buck of REM, Belle & Sebastian drummer Richard Colborn, Grammy winning producer Jacknife Lee, Grammy nominee Iain Archer. Kim has toured with Tired Pony live and has appeared with them on The Tonight Show & The Ellen Show. Her closing duets with Gary at London’s sold out Barbican Theatre and Bushmills Live Festivals with The 1975 were met with critical praise.

Justine von Winterfeldt is an independent music supervisor that has been active in the Film, TV,and Music industries for over 8 years. She began her career as a music coordinator for supervisor Ann Kline and worked on several well-known TV shows including Shameless, Under the Dome, Harry’s Law, and The Lying Game. Justine joined Format Entertainment in early 2014 as a music coordinator to Julia Michels where she worked on highly acclaimed films such as Trolls, Pitch Perfect 2, and Bad Moms. She recently transitioned into the supervisor role and now collaborates with the Format music team on various blockbuster hits. Aside from music supervision, she is a classically trained pianist and is an active member of the Guild of Music Supervisors and The Recording Academy. Select supervision credits include: Significant Mother (The CW), Black Box (ABC), Common Outlaws (UnCork’d Entertainment).
