Music Aggregators and Publishers: What You Need To Know

Music services like iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Spotify rarely accept content directly from artists and smaller labels. Instead, they rely upon music aggregators like The Orchard, TuneCore and others to provide this music to them.  These aggregators have a range of business models and also have added additional services such as music publishing administration and user posted video content support services.

How do these companies that offer all-in-one solutions support and benefit songwriters and music publishers?  What information should songwriters and music publishers provide to the aggregators and their service partners in order to improve royalty reporting?

This panel will provide an update on the music aggregation marketplace.  Others topics of conversation: types of aggregators; royalty flow and payments; and terms of services.
