The PMA & The SCL present: Opportunities in Production Music for Film and Television Composers

OPPORTUNITIES IN PRODUCTION MUSIC FOR

FILM AND TELEVISION COMPOSERS

Thursday, February 9th

6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

American Film Institute

2021 N Western Ave

Los Angeles, CA 90027

Join the SCL and the PMA on Feb. 9, 2017 as a panel of music creators, Production Music Library executives, directors, and producers examine and explain the ways that music creators can participate in the world of Production Music. This panel will be oriented towards experienced composers and songwriters. We will be examining how the Production Music environment differs from that of Film, TV, and Video Games in terms of:

  • The music itself: its structure, edit points, duration, genres/styles, production value, and lyric content, etc.
  • The contracts: how the compensation, copyright, publishing, liability/responsibility, and administration deals are designed
  • Interacting with the decision-makers in this industry, and discerning the "good citizens" from the not-so-good
  • How your music potentially fits into the Production Music Industry

Check in/registration starts at 6:30pm.

Panel begins at 7:00pm

Tickets are on sale now:
