Global Entrepreneurship Summit


AIMP Vice President, Teri Nelson Carpenter, has been invited by the US Dept of State to be a delegate at the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad, India November 28-30th.  Teri will be presenting on Media & Entertainment. This year’s theme is “Women First - Prosperity For All”.   #aimporg #GES2017

The United States and India are co-hosting the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India from November 28-30, 2017. The goal of the summit is to promote entrepreneurship by bringing together some of the world’s most dynamic entrepreneurs and investors. The theme of this year’s summit is “Women First, Prosperity for All” and will focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth globally.  Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump will headline the United States delegation to the Summit.

With a representation of nearly 2000 entrepreneurs, investors, educators, policy makers, government officials and business executives, GES will create new opportunities for investment, partnership and collaboration. The summit aims to give participants tailored opportunities to give skills and relationships that will help their ventures grow as well as form lasting relationships.  The four business sectors included in this year’s Summit are as follows:

  • Energy and Infrastructure
  • Healthcare and Life Sciences
  • Financial Technology and Digital Commerce
  • Media and Entertainment

GES is the preeminent annual entrepreneurship gathering that convenes emerging entrepreneurs, investors and supporters from around the world. GES 2017 will create an environment that empowers innovators, particularly women, to take their ideas to the next level. Through two and a half days of networking, mentoring, and workshops, GES empowers entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, build partnerships, secure funding, innovate, and find their target customers -- creating new goods and services that will transform societies.
