The World of Music for Advertising

The world of music for advertising is a diverse, challenging, and vibrant one, and it presents a multitude of opportunities for professional songwriters and composers. The most successful supervisors and producers who work in the ad space must have a broad skill set and extraordinary creative chops to serve the needs and challenges of their agency and brand clients.

For our March/April Creative Panel series, we’ve assembled an all-star cast of music supervisors and producers from across the spectrum of the ad music world, and one of NYC’s most successful local songwriters (particularly in the world of synchronization).  We’ll discuss what their day-to-day lives are like, how they approach the creative process, and how those opportunities are created for songs, songwriters, composers, and musicians.

We’ll also give everyone who attends a chance to try their hand at music supervision with some contemporary TV ad spots. You’ll have a month to pick the perfect song, or to submit an original song or score for the spots we show. For the April 10th panel presentation, we’ll screen your picks, offer feedback on your music choices and pick the best creative solutions, with a special prize for the winners.
