MUSEXPO, the annual “United Nations of Music” is set to take place from April 29th – 1st May, 2018 – returning to the heart of Hollywood, CA at the vibrant W Hotel Hollywood located just minutes away from the iconic Capitol Records Tower. MUSEXPO continues to inspire new ideas, business innovation, and the birth of other “internationally focused” music events, which have truly influenced the world of music to become a better place for artists, fans and industry alike – with an act local, think global approach! The event remains the meeting point for those leaders and innovators truly vested in the music business and its various touch-points globally.

The 2018 event will kick-off Sunday April 29th with a focus on the future of the creative and commercial aspects of the A&R process. Through a number of insightful keynote interviews and A&R forums, attendees will have the opportunity to hear about new projects, share music and gain valuable insight from some of the A&R community’s most successful and innovative A&R minds. Among the many sessions taking place across the program will be a special keynote interview with Capitol Records UK’s President, Nick Raphael and Co-President, Jo Charrington conducted by Music Business Worldwide’s Founder & Editor, Tim Ingham. Raphael and Charrington have together signed a plethora of highly successful acts including (at Sony/Epic) Aloe Blacc, Charlotte Church, Imogen Heap, Olly Murs, Paloma Faith and Scouting For Girls, as well as with Capitol UK, 5 Seconds of Summer and Sam Smith, the latter of whom earned a Golden Globe and Academy Award for “Writings on the Wall.”

The most recent success story, Liam Payne, has seen his debut single “Strip That Down” receiving significant support at radio in the U.S. and globally, and has topped 500 million streams, making it the most successful solo release from a former One Direction member.

MUSEXPO will also once again present compelling forums that will highlight all aspects of the future of the global music business with a future-cast of the next five years from leaders and influencers in key sectors in live, digital, management, marketing, mobile, automotive, social media, publishing, media, streaming and more. The event will include a special focus on the fast-evolving world of digital service providers.

In addition, MUSEXPO will provide its attendees with, “What Are You Synching,” which provides access to dozens of synch opportunities in film, TV, games, brands, trailers, brands and on-demand, including opportunities to have music heard directly by leading music supervisors from across the synch landscape. Our delegates will be able to pitch to briefs we’ll be sending out from film producers/directors, ad agencies, brands and the TV networks music supervisor and others in advance of the start of MUSEXPO 2018.

Among the other industry leaders already confirmed to join MUSEXPO 2018 are included: Arnold Peter - Founding Partner, Peter Law Group; Ben Cooper - Controller, BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra & BBC Asian Network; Bob Shennan – Director of Radio & Music, BBC; Chris Price - Head of Music, BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra; Janine Scalise Boyd - VP, Music, Creative & Business Affairs, Starz; Joe Belliotti - Head of Global Music Marketing, The Coca-Cola Company; Mark Sutherland - Editor, Music Week; Rudy Chung - Partner, Hit The Ground Running (HTGR) & Founding Partner, Pusher; Tim Ingham - Founder & Publisher, Music Business Worldwide; and William D. This is a first-ever for a global broadcast multi-media entity and honors the radio station’s invaluable and exceptional contributions to the communications business and to the worldwide music community over the past 50 years.
