Attention Students!  The AIMP has launched its education initiative at Lawry's.  What this means is that up to 8 students are allowed to attend each panel for $20 per person.  The fee does not include food. This is a great opportunity to learn about music publishing and network. You must RSVP and pay in advance via e-mail or by calling 818-771-7301.

Attention attorneys: this activity has been approved for .75 hours of Minimum Continuing Legal Education Credit by the State Bar of California. Attorneys wishing to register for MCLE credit should bring their state bar number with them for the sign in sheet.

Marcy Bulkeley is the Music Director at Wild Card AV (www.wildcardav.com). She is responsible for the music in the film campaigns for Incredibles 2, All the Money in the World, The Post, Animated Spider-Man, Alien: Covenant, Blade Runner, The Girl on the Train, Deadpool, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, The Martian, as well as many others. Marcy has been in the music supervision world for over twenty years, consistently building and nurturing relationships with record labels, publishers, composers, agents, and music production companies worldwide. Marcy graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Audio / Radio Production and directed her studies towards film and television music. Outside of the music/film/advertising world, Marcy is a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and a Reiki Master Practitioner. She hopes to bring more calm creative energy to this industry.

Katy Gavillet is Creative Director, Music at Fox Broadcasting Company. Supporting the music needs of the marketing division, she interfaces with all aspects of music in relation to the Fox network; serving as an in-house music supervisor for promos, overseeing song clearances, and commissioning original songs and re-records.Collaborating closely with her counterparts at TV studios, production companies, major record labels, and publishers, Gavillet identifies and brokers key sync opportunities that create a unique and impactful sound for FOX’s award-winning promotional campaigns; including the slate of music-centric programs such as Empire, Star, The Four, Beat Shazam, and Showtime At The Apollo. Prior to joining Fox, she spent several years as Manager of Creative Sync Licensing at Warner Bros. Records. Working with a broad roster of talented artists including Gallant,The Black Keys, Dua Lipa, Muse, and PARTYNEXTDOOR, she pitched WBR releases for strategic placements in film, TV, promos, and trailers.

After over a decade working as a music supervisor for the marketing campaigns for some of the top-grossing films from Fox, Universal, Warner Bros, The Walt Disney Company and others, Maura Duval-Griffin joined the team at acclaimed trailer music library audiomachine as Director of Business Development and Music Licensing. I am also a busy freelance music supervisor who works with a variety of creative agencies in Los Angeles, New York and London on movie trailers, TV promos, video game trailers, ads and anything else that comes my way. A proud member of the Guild of Music Supervisors with over 20 years in the music industry, including time served in college radio, record retail, sales and distribution, and marketing, I bring a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for the process of putting music to picture.

With over 17 years’ experience in music publishing, Chris Lakey serves as the Vice President, Creative Synch for Kobalt Music Publishing's North America offices. Daily he works closely with film studios, trailer houses, videogame companies, music supervisors, directors and editors to further exploit Kobalt compositions for synchronization opportunities. Mr. Lakey, additionally, has over a decade of expertise in negotiating synchronization deals and music licensing across all media. Prior to Kobalt, he worked in the licensing department at Universal Music Publishing Group.

Emily Weber is the VP of Creative-Music for Trailers and Promos at Position Music. Emily has over 14 years of experience pitching music for Trailers, and Film/TV both domestically and in Europe. She has A&R’ed many of the trailer or sound design albums in Position Music’s catalog and has licensed music in dozens of movie trailers including these most recent ones: Snowden, Tarzan, X-Men Apocalypse, Independence Day: Resurgence, The Magnificent Seven, and Fear of The Walking Dead.
