The Write Stuff - The Current A&R Landscape in Independent Publishing

For our November event, the AIMP brings together some of the top A&R people in New York’s thriving independent publishing scene and examines the contemporary landscape of talent discovery and development. We’ll discuss what has changed, what is changing, and what remains constant about discovering songwriting talent, nurturing it, and providing writers with a solid foundation to survive and thrive in the ultra-competitive world of popular songcraft.

We’ll also dig deep into their process, techniques, and the kinds of qualities that they feel lead to lasting success in today’s market. We’ll talk about ways in which publishers are fostering songwriting talent, supporting writers’ ambitions, and creating an environment where songwriters can flourish, here in New York City and around the world.
