2019 witnessed the artistic birth of Roken, a Brooklyn based singer songwriter/producer, in possession of a broad palette of musical skills and boundless inspiration. “Bella Notte”, produced with Francois Tetaz (Goyte), set forth an artistic vision and sound template that, while unique in the pop landscape, incorporates diverse influences including Sade, Elliott Smith, New Order & Porches to name a few. 21 y/o Roken has been writing and producing music since 2013 and has honed his considerable production skills while crafting hundreds of bedroom pop gems from the attic of his parent’s house in Northport, NY. As his songwriting and vocal style evolved, Roken emerged as a singular artist distinct from his lo-fi pop roots. Inseparable love, painful romance and beauty within darkness are frequent themes in Roken’s world. Roken has become a sought-after co-writer and is a frequent collaborator with writers in NY, LA, Nashville and London including Jasper Leak (Sia), Michael Tighe (Jeff Buckley), Kennedy (BØRNS), Mike Irish (X Ambassadors) and Rob Persaud. Roken is busy at work finalizing his new self produced EP which will be released mid 2020.
