Additional Speaker Information

PRISCILLA BLOCK‘s song, “Just About Over You,” reached the top spot on the iTunes all-genre song chart within 12 hours of release. Now, Block has inked a deal with Universal Music Group Nashville, releasing the song to country radio via Mercury Nashville/InDent Records. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina as one of five children, Priscilla moved to Nashville to pursue music shortly after high school. In Nashville, the affable up-and-comer worked multiple jobs to make ends meet while remaining steadfast in her study of songwriting and music. Block has sold out shows at Deep South the Bar in Raleigh, the Listening Room Cafe, and Nashville’s rowdiest block party, Whiskey Jam. She has also shared the stage with artists including Gabby Barrett, Adam Craig and Dillon Carmichael.

ANDREW JANNAKOS recently inked a deal with Sony Music Nashville’s RCA Nashville imprint. He was formerly a contestant on The Voice and is the singer-songwriter behind the recent viral hit “Gone Too Soon." In July 2020, Jannakos’ girlfriend (now wife) posted a video to TikTok of Jannakos singing along to “Gone Too Soon.” The video earned more than 250,000 likes overnight and brought him over half a million followers on the TikTok platform. When it released in September, Jannakos debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Emerging Artist chart. The song also reached No. 12 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart, No. 1 on the Country Digital Song Sales Chart, and No. 2 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart. “Gone Too Soon” has earned nearly 14 million on-demand streams to date.

MARGARET TOMLIN is the Director of A&R for Sony Music Nashville. An alumna of Syracuse University’s Bandier Program, Tomlin joined Sony Music Nashville as Representative, A&R in 2015 and was most recently Manager, A&R. During her tenure with the company, Tomlin has contributed to identifying new talent and placing songs within in the roster, including cuts for Carlton Anderson, Kane Brown, and Rachel Wammack. Her previous posts include catalog assistant at BMG Nashville.

BRIAN WRIGHT is the Executive Vice President of A&R for UMG Nashville, which is comprised of Capitol Records Nashville, EMI Records Nashville, Mercury Nashville and MCA Nashville. Wright joined Universal Music Group Nashville over 17 years ago and previously served as Senior Vice President of A&R. He oversees A&R initiatives for UMG Nashville’s artist roster. Wright was instrumental in such critically-acclaimed albums as Jamey Johnson’s Lonesome Song, Lee Ann Womack’s There’s More Where That Came From and George Strait’s Troubadour, Jon Pardi’s California Sunrise and Chris Stapleton’s Traveller as well as From A Room Vol. 1 and From A Room Vol. 2.
