Negotiation Strategies – Getting Results Without Blowing up the Deal

REGISTER HERE: http://bit.ly/AIMPNegotiationStrat

Negotiating effectively means more than just advocating for you or your client’s positions. It requires listening to the other side and finding ways to solve conflict where neither side feels like they lost. Asking both “mirror” and “window” questions helps your side and the counterparty identify the main goals, concerns, and hurdles to getting a deal done so you can effectively manage the conversation and find creative solutions to make good deals even better. Although these skills can be used in all aspects of everyday life, a special focus will be placed on the strategies that music publishers can use to effectively address the underlying motivations of songwriters, estates, and owners of catalogues when entering into transactions. You will also become aware of your strengths and weaknesses as a negotiator and leave with ideas of how to deal with especially difficult counterparties.
