![]() View All Jobs ![]() Music Royalty AnalystPosted: Feb 18, 2009 MUSIC ROYALTY ANALYST We are an entertainment business management firm handling the day-to-day financial & business operations for clients in the entertainment industry. We are seeking a full-time music royalty analyst to join our expanding publishing and royalties department in our Santa Monica, California office.
Requirements:
Experience in the music industry. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related area is preferred and an understanding of music royalty accounting principle a plus.
The ideal candidate would be familiar and comfortable with reviewing music business contracts, including artist recording and producer agreements, distribution agreements, and mechanical & synchronization licenses.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and process royalty statements, set up contracts and payees in royalty system, calculate controlled mechanical rates and caps, issue licenses and statements, prepare sales data for import into royalty system, review and process recoupable costs, perform detailed review of statements to ensure accuracy, interact with client representatives, prepare 3rd party participant royalty accounting, prepare ad hoc analyses as needed.
