Music Business Clinical Track Assistant Professor (CO)

The Department of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies in the College of Arts & Media at The University of Colorado Denver is seeking a full time Assistant Professor Clinical Teaching Track in the area of Music Business. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include: teaching all aspects of publishing in the digital age, as well as music finance (e.g., entertainment finance, accounting for royalties and concert revenues) and general courses related to music business and entrepreneurship. Candidates are also expected to engage actively in research/creative work and approved service activities. This position is located in Denver, Colorado.
A terminal degree appropriate to the music business discipline or a master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years music business experience at a national or international level with evidence of increasing responsibility. All candidates should have professional accomplishments and professional recognition at the national/international level. Appropriate degree disciplines could include business administration, law, music, accounting or marketing.
We are seeking a multi-talented individual with diverse educational and professional experience. In addition to a strong background in the music and entertainment industry, the ideal candidate will have experience and/or an advanced degree in arts management, business or law or a combination of the above. Candidates with specific credentials and/or experience in publishing and the financial aspects of the music industry in the digital age are particularly encouraged to apply.
Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
