AIMP Intern (NY)

We have an exciting opportunity for a young professional or student to become involved with the New York chapter of AIMP! 

This position would be a long term, part time internship requiring roughly 3 hours of work per week, although more time may be required depending on the frequency of events. More time is also needed for our two major events in June and December. Internship can be done for either credit or stipend. 
 
Duties may include:
- Updating /creating social media accounts, researching content to post to profiles. 
- Creating and tracking invoices and payments through Square (both online and at actual events).
- Working in the back end of the organization’s website, including creating and maintaining profiles for members.
- Attendance at all events to help with check in, set up and tear down. 
- Assisting with sign ups and managing reservations for events.
- Planning for future events and panels.
 
Skills Needed:
- Familiarity with Excel, Microsoft Word and social media required. 
- Photography or photo editing skills a plus. 
- Experience with event planning a bonus. 
- Candidate must have strong people skills and ability to communicate professionally.
