Director of Copyright, Position Music (LA)

Director of Copyright Position Available

Position Music has a Director of Copyright position available. We are looking for excellent candidates with experience in various aspects of copyright and publishing administration.

The ideal candidate will have five or more years experience working in publishing administration at a publishing company, law firm or business management company.  The primary job responsibilities will be copyright registration to US/Canadian Performing Rights Organizations, mechanical agencies and to our international sub-publisher.  Secondary responsibilities will include catalog IP data and agreement management, developing and maintaining Performing Rights Organization relationships, income tracking, mechanical licensing and cue sheet management.

Position Music was started in 1999 and offers a great, casual, non-corporate work environment with a current staff of sixteen. The company is a combination of independent publisher/label and trailer/production music library.  Outside of US/Canada our catalog is sub-published by Kobalt Music.  The company is located in Burbank, CA.
