Copyright Manager - Position Music (LA)

Position Music has a Copyright Manager position available. We are looking for excellent candidates with experience in various aspects of copyright and publishing administration. 

The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience working in publishing administration at a music publishing company, record label, law firm or business management company.  Strict attention to detail and an aptitude for consistency are required.

The primary job responsibilities will include:

  Copyright registration.  This includes registration to US/Canada Performing Rights Organizations, mechanical agencies and to our international sub-publisher, Kobalt Music.

  Maintaining Performing Rights Organization relationships

  Mechanical licensing

  Cue sheet management

  Income tracking

  Agreement management

Other job functions are very data driven and include catalog IP data entry and processing.

Position Music was started in 1999 and offers a friendly, casual, non-corporate, dog-friendly work environment with weekly happy hours and a growing staff of eighteen.  The company’s airy modern headquarters is located in Burbank, CA.
