Licensing Coordinator (NY)

 Description: This position is responsible for quoting on tv/film/advertising/video game music licenses, on behalf of over twenty client record labels and their artists, as well as drafting music license agreements. This is a full time position in New York City. 

- Negotiate quotes for various types of music licenses.
- Draft and administer master use and synchronization license agreements.
- Manage files and database entries on all pending licenses.
- Issue status reports on licensing activity.
- Support finance department in collection of license fees.
- Provide cue sheet info and screen credits.
- Assist Legal Affairs on other licensing and publishing related matters including, but not limited to, preparation and execution of contracts, and resolving unauthorized uses and issuing take-down notices.

- Bachelor's Degree (this is a non-legal position; lawyers need not apply).
- Strong experience directly handling synchronization negotiations, both quoting and long form licensing (a minimum of 2 years in-house at a licensing, record or publishing company).
- Candidate must possess excellent demonstrated decision-making, problem solving and negotiating skills.
- Excellent research skills.
- Experience dealing with major/independent record labels and publishers as well as third-party licensing companies.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
- Must be organized and have a strong attention to detail.
- Strong familiarity with Mac and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with using ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, etc repertoire search websites.
