Manager, Digital Marketing and Strategy (NYC)

Spirit Music Group’s Digital Team oversees all projects that touch the digital music landscape. As such, the Digital Team works directly with all the major streaming and social media platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook/Instagram, etc.), fitness apps, video games, and emerging technology. Our team is responsible for everything from rolling out creative and editorial opportunities across digital partners, to managing operational needs and renewing licenses.

The Manager, Digital Marketing and Strategy is a key position on the Digital Team with administrative, operational, and marketing responsibilities. Duties including revenue tracking and report generation, working closely with business partners including YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, Apple Music, and TikTok, assisting the VP, Digital Strategy with new business development, pitching music for visibility across streaming platforms, and working directly with our songwriters and our A&R team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the digital music landscape, has a fundamental working knowledge of music publishing and a thirst to learn new aspects of how this important part of the music industry works. Candidate must have strong MS office skills, excellent communication skills for weekly meetings and annual presentations, ability to adapt to new ways of approaching tasks, and flexibility to pivot when needed.


  • Negotiating and tracking digital deals
  • Overseeing maintenance of Spirit’s YouTube CMS account, including uploading new songs, managing conflicts, and providing weekly analytics and reporting
  • Circulating weekly New Release Schedules to Spirit’s digital partners and touching base with partners regularly about new platform features and opportunities for our songwriters
  • Pitching Spirit’s catalog of songs for visibility and promotional opportunities across platforms
  • Managing Spirit’s website and social media accounts
  • Circulating viral chart information bi-weekly to staff


  • 1-3 years of music industry experience
  • Strong MS office skills (excel knowledge is a must)
  • Someone who lives and breathes social media and emerging technology; we are looking for someone who is up to date on trends and takes an interest in what makes content go viral, especially on platforms such as TikTok
  • Some background knowledge on the music publishing landscape is a must
  • You thrive working as part of a small but collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A passion for songwriting and songwriters! You like to know every little detail about your favorite songwriter, and you’re interested in how a song gets written
  • Digital marketing or strategy experience at a record label or music publisher
  • In-house experience at a DSP doing partnerships with record labels or music publishers
  • A lifestyle of eating, sleeping, and breathing music!
