Dept of Commerce Internet Policy Task Force Roundtables

This week, the Department of Commerce Internet Policy Task Force held the last two roundtables on Copyright Policy, Creativity and Innovation in the Digital Economy in Los Angeles and Berkeley, California. On each day, there were three panels on remixes, statutory damages and digital first sale. Copyright Alliance members that participated in these events included Catherine Bridge (Disney); Stephanie Moore & Christian Troncoso (ESA); Ben Sheffner (MPAA); and George Borkowski & Vicki Sheckler (RIAA). We coordinated the participation of various artist representatives and grassroots members on the panels and from the audience including working with Deborah Moore (filmmaker), Dina LaPolt (LaPolt Law), East Bay Ray, and Ellen Seidler (Vox Indie). You can find a summary of both roundtables: Los Angeles and Berkeley. The outcome of the four roundtables (Nashville, Boston, Los Angeles and Berkeley) will be available later this year or early next year.
