All Music Professionals Interested In Technology and Services Should Attend This Trade Show

LOS ANGELES, October 10, 2018 - The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) and The California Copyright Conference (CCC) will co-host their fifth MUSIC INDUSTRY TOOLBOX (MIT), featuring leading firms in music management software and services essential to the music industry as well as the PROs ASCAP and BMI. The show has grown each year allowing music industry professionals to connect with industry leaders in technology and services in an informal atmosphere.

The event is now presented free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, and as a service to all music industry professionals from record labels, publishing companies, major networks, managers, lawyers, songwriters/composers and self-published artists.  Pre-registration is still highly encouraged through aimp.org and/or theccc.org.

The Music Industry Toolbox will be held at Mears Hall (1760 N. Gower Street, Hollywood, on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) on Thursday, October 25th, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will give the music community-at-large an opportunity to meet with these providers in an intimate setting, including demonstrations and workshops. There will be complimentary snacks and beverages.

Exhibitors will showcase their software and services in the main room as well as offer workshops in a private demonstration room. Attendees are encouraged to register for the event to facilitate entrance and to take advantage of the private exhibitor demonstrations. To learn more and register go to: AIMP.org.

We are so excited to bring back the Toolbox event with the CCC as our last one in 2016 was a resounding success with hundreds of attendees.  In the dynamic landscape that is the music publishing industry, an event like this really helps indie publishers at all levels and sizes get a feel for the tools out there available to them to maintain and grow their businesses”, says Michael Eames, president of the AIMP and PEN Music Group.

"I am thrilled to partner with our sister organization, The AIMP, to host the upcoming Music Industry Toolbox. This event has a proven history of providing necessary information and tools for all attendees ranging from established music industry professionals to students”, says David Quan, president of the CCC and Senior Director, Music Publishing, Angry Mob Music.

Two popular events returning this year include “Ask An Expert” presented by Reel Muzik Werks and music business books for purchase courtesy of Skylight Books’ pop-up, either pre-signed or signed in person by the author(s).

The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) was formed in 1977 by a group of Los Angeles music publishers and now has chapters in Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville. The organization’s primary focus is to educate and inform independent music publishers about the most current industry trends and practices by providing a forum for the discussion of the issues and problems confronting the music publishing industry.  (www.aimp.org)

The California Copyright Conference (CCC) was established in 1953 for the discussion of copyright-related areas pertaining to music and entertainment. Today, the scope of the CCC has expanded to cover all matters pertaining to music industry issues. The organization has grown to over 300 members from all areas of the music and entertainment industry including publishers, songwriters, attorneys, representatives from trade publications, performing rights societies, motion pictures, television, multimedia, Internet, and record companies.
