  • Meet Nashville chapter featured member Mike Molinar/Big Machine Music.  "Mike continues to have a huge impact not only on the independent publishing community in Nashville, but also on a global scale.  Mike’s work on the AIMP Nashville Board, the NMPA Board, and the MLC Board is truly affecting positive change for both songwriters and publishers around the world.  We’re proud to have him as a part of the AIMP and are honored to recognize his brilliant work."  John Ozier/NA Chapter President.
  • Jammber, a digital platform that helps artists track music projects and credits, has acquired music rights management company TuneRegistry.  With the acquisition, the 6-year-old Jammber aims to ramp up its royalty management capabilities. Read more here.  
  • A New York judge celebrated the lacklustre arrival of US fitness firm Peloton on the city’s Nasdaq stock exchange by allowing a consortium of music publishers to double the damages they are seeking in a copyright dispute. Read more about it here.

  • Once again, BMI is exceptionally proud of its numerous affiliates who have been singled out for recognition as nominees for this year’s 20th annual Latin GRAMMY Awards.  Many BMI songwriters from the Latin community received multiple nods for Latin GRAMMY gold for their work from the past year.  Read more about the nominees here.  
  • SESAC affiliate Jamie Floyd performed, along with songwriters Abby Anderson and Eddie Montgomery, for members of the Congressional Songwriters Caucus, led by Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL) and Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL). The bipartisan caucus was relaunched to serve as a forum for Congress to engage with America’s songwriters and explore policy issues that affect their often-unrecognized contribution to the music industry.
