  • Registration is now available for the fourth edition of the AIMP Global Music Publishing Summit which will take place online from June 7-9, 2021. The event will kick off with Creator Day on June 7, followed by Business of Publishing on June 8, and wrapping with International Day on June 9.  The Summit will run from 11am to 5pm ET June 7-8, with post-conference showcases and networking events starting at 5pm each day. June 9 will begin at 10am ET with an ICMP/AIMP “breakfast/tea” mixer, and the agenda is set to conclude by 2pm.

  • Songwriters of North America (SONA) opened up applications for its newly-relaunched Songwriter Fund grant program on Wednesday (April 28), offering emergency support to writers in need during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  Read more about it here
  • A big Hollywood “huzzah” to ASCAP Board member Jon Batiste and Trent Reznor for their Oscars victory! On Sunday, April 26, the two ASCAP composers and collaborator Atticus Ross picked up the Academy Award for Original Score, for their music to the thought-provoking Disney/Pixar film "Soul." "Soul" was widely viewed as the frontrunner for this year’s Oscars, having earned trophies at the Annie Awards, BAFTAs, Critics’ Choice Awards, Golden Globes, NAACP Image Awards, SCL Awards and many more.
  • BMI congratulates its 2021 Oscar winners, outstanding composer Atticus Ross and equally stellar songwriters H.E.R., Dernst Emile II and Tiara Thomas, who took the crowns for Best Original Score and Best Original Song, respectively, at the 93rd annual Academy Awards. Ross, who won for his work in the highly lauded film "Soul," also garnered a Golden Globe, SCL, Critics Choice and BAFTA Award for the score earlier this year.
  • SESAC Latina artists, who have been dominating radio charts this year with their incredible musical compositions, are shining with multiple major nominations for an important award. This time, nine of them are among the favorites to win the Heat Awards 2021 in eight different categories.  The Heat Awards, which are decided by fan votes, celebrate the best in Latin music.  See the full list here
